About me

I'm a self-taught watercolor artist. I've never studied art formally. Everything I know, I learned by doing: mixing water and pigment until it became a way of speaking.

Painting is how I say the things I can't put into words. Portraits are what I return to again and again. I believe a gaze can hold more than a whole conversation, and watercolor lets me chase that: the way a look shifts, softens, or gives something away, drop by drop, layer by layer.

I grew up on a small island, and the ocean never really left me. Its colors, the blues that change with the light, the way water never sits still, find their way into my work in ways I don't always plan. I think they're just part of how I see.
